Tyson Fury Promoter has continued to run his mouth again on Nigerian Britain heavyweight fighter Anthony Joshua. As Pulev is set to be confirmed Joshua’s as his next opponent, Arum waste no time tearing AJ off the top world best heavyweight especially after falling to the hand of the Mexican in the first match.
Frank Warren has already outlined his intention to seek an agreement which would see Fury fight Joshua before the end of the year, but Tyson Fury Promoter Arum believes that prospect is unlikely and insists AJ does not deserve to be considered part of the heavyweight elite.
Arum told Sky Sports: ‘As far as Joshua is concerned, the only people that think Joshua is an elite heavyweight are the Brits.
‘He isn’t. Andy Ruiz is a good heavyweight, but he’s not a top tier fighter. ‘Any fighter that gets knocked out by Andy Ruiz is not an elite level fighter, despite what Eddie Hearn keeps mouthing about. ‘First of all, there won’t be an Anthony Joshua after June when he fights Pulev, and I mean that seriously, Andy Ruiz is an OK fighter.
