Fayose embrace Fayemi at Afe Babalola’s Nobel Laureate Professor award celebration

Maybe it’s time for the people of Ekiti to finally settles their squabbles and move forward together since the two big sharks in the oceans has thrown an open hand of warm embrace at each other.
Both politicians were seen happily embracing each other at the Obafemi Awolowo Prize for Leadership which took place at Habour Point, Victoria Island Lagos. This came after years of trading words between the incumbent Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and the immediate past governor, Ayodele Fayose.
They embraced, after Fayemi delivered a speech in honour of the celebrant of the day and awardee, Chief Afe Babalola, who is the third recipient of Nobel Laureate Professor award after Wole Soyinka and former president of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki.
“There must be something about Ekiti that fully prepared Chief Babalola for this award. We are known as the fountain of knowledge in Ekiti,” he said while recognizing the presence of the former governor, Fayose.
Why some have said the public display of affection was staged, in the spirit of the occasion and it has nothing to do with their past and present grievances, it’s just official. Some have also said its expected from the two elderly state men, who are manure to enough to handle their quarrels after all, there is no permanent enemy in politics.
