Former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has denied reports of rumours of him dumping the All-Progressives Congress, APC, for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Reports have circulated recently that Rufai, now a staunch critic of Tinubu, has dumped the APC so as to challenge the ruling party in the 2027 elections. However, El-Rufai asked the public to disregard the ‘’lies and rumours” about his political affiliation.
He also said that he has referred the lead peddlers of the ‘’fake news” to his lawyers for legal action.
Posting on X, the former governor wrote: “Please disregard the patent lies and rumours about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers.”
