Motorists plying the Akure-Owo-Abuja highway have lamented the difficulty passing through some failed portions of the road.
Last year, remedial work was carried out on the road, following the murder of the Oluifon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adeusi, but several of the patched portions of the road have failed.
The Eleyewo/Ilu Abo axis of the highway has been cut off.
Drivers of some heavy-duty trucks on the road said they spent two nights on the spots. Small vehicles had to ply through the Ilu Abo village to continue their journey.
